FAQs

Do you need a referral before making an appointment?
No, you don’t need a referral to book a consultation with one of our Practitioners. Call 02 9675 5586 to schedule an appointment. Those with a Health Fund (depending on level of cover) should qualify for rebates, for which we have a HICAPS/EFTPOS machine handy on site for immediate access.

Do you see patients under Workers Compensation or Third Party (CTP)?
Yes. Those who will be attending under workers compensation or third party insurance will need a referral from their GP or an approval from the Insurer. We will require the relevant information such as Insurance Company, Claim number and Claims manager details so we can confirm approval to commence treatment.

Do you see patients under Primary Care Program (EPC)?
Yes we do. You must have an EPC referral from your GP to be eligible for the Medicare rebate under this scheme.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes we do. We are a busy clinic with patients often on the waiting list. In addition, if you are unable to adhere to your physios recommendations regarding treatment frequency, it makes it difficult for you to hit your recovery goals. To be fair to all clients and to our physios, we ask that any cancellations are finalised by 5pm the day prior at the latest. On the day cancellations incur a cancellation fee of $50. If you rebook within 24 hours and attend, the fee will be waived. Of course we will take extenuating circumstances into account, provided these late cancellations are not a regular occurrence.

Any missed appointments without notice automatically incur this fee. If non- attendance occurs more than twice you will be required to pay the full fee and continuing issues will result in discharge.

Please note these fees are NOT covered by Insurance companies, DVA or Medicare and must be paid by the patient.

How many sessions will I need?
Every injury will be assessed by our qualified staff and an estimate of recovery given. Some injuries can be treated simply and clients given exercises to continue. Others can be more complex and require treatment for a longer period.

How long are the sessions?
Initial assessment sessions are 40 minutes where your physio will take a thorough history, assess all facets of your injury, commence treatment and give you a treatment plan, outlining how many sessions you need, how often and what you need to do at home for the injury. Follow up sessions are 30 minutes long. Sessions bulk billed under the Medicare EPC scheme are always 20 minutes only.

If you are requiring treatment on multiple areas or your condition is particularly complicated, extended sessions are available of 45 and 60 minutes as required.
