Our Treatment approach:

Our physiotherapists will:

  1. Provide you with a careful assessment of your condition, in a one-on-one consultation. This ensures that we get to the underlying causes of your problems. We are not satisfied with fixing you for now, we want to fix you for good.
  2. Develop an individualised treatment program which may include hands on treatment and an exercise program to strengthen and retrain your joints and muscles.
  3. Educate you on what the problem is,how long it will take to fix, what you need to do and how to manage your own condition so that you can work towards self management with the assistance and guidance of our physiotherapists.

What is 'hands on" physio?

There are many different approaches a physiotherapist can take. Some will only give you exercises, some will stick you on a hot pack and a machine, and some will provide massage and other techniques where the physio “lays their hands on your body”.

At Ropes Crossing Physio all our physios are trained to provide “hands on” work which will involve a combination of massage and soft tissue work, manual therapy which involves moving joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves, in combination with exercise and education.

We believe that a combination of manual therapy to provide initial pain relief and restoration of range is necessary before moving on to stretching, strengthening and education to ensure your full understanding of what you need to do to get the results that you want.
